A probate valuation may be necessary to ascertain the value of the estate. We are experts in all fields of antiques and collectables and our rates are very reasonable. As a general rule we charge £10 per item with a minimum charge of a £100. Items with a probate value greater then £1000 will be charged at 1% of its value (maximum charge of £30 per item). We feel this is reasonable compared to other companies that charge £100-150 per hour. Generally our probate valuations cost between £100 and £300. Please note that probate valuation is the lowest form of valuation and is a guide to a minimum price that should be expected from auction after commission. Probate valuations are far lower then insurance valuations. A complete probate valuation will normally be returned within 48 hours after viewing, which will include a short description and a price on each item.
